BREAKING: Bandits kidnap Permanent Secretary of Niger, granddaughter


Dr. Ibrahim Garba Musa, the Permanent Secretary of the Niger Ministry of Transportation, has been kidnapped along with his granddaughter.

On Friday night, he was kidnapped from his home in Zugeru.

It was discovered that he was in Zugeru for a wedding celebration and was kidnapped by the gunmen later that night.

According to a family source, the gunmen broke down the gate to enter the house and kidnap the Permanent Secretary, who was relaxing after the celebration.

The family has started contacting the state government to inform them of the incident.

Alhaji Ahmed Ibrahim Matane, the Secretary to the Niger State Government, told The Nation that he had just been informed about the incident but had yet to confirm it.

He did say, however, that the State Government would do everything possible to ensure that the Permanent Secretary was rescued safely.
