Enugu govt collaborates with NSIA to upgrade the diagnostic centre

The State Medical Diagnostic Centre in Enugu will be upgraded to a comprehensive Diagnostic and Oncology (Cancer treatment) Center, according to a collaboration agreement between the administration of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi in Enugu State and the Nigerian Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA).

The State Executive Council (EXCO), in accordance with the collaboration agreement, has approved the evacuation of the existing equipment in the Diagnostic Centre, as requested by the Nigerian Sovereign Investment Authority to enable it to take over the healthcare facility, according to a statement by the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Emmanuel Ikechukwu Obi.
