President Buhari declares an official stop to drug abuse (WADA)

    President Muhammadu Buhari has officially launched his anti-drug abuse campaign with the inauguration of the War Against Drug Abuse (WADA) (WADA).

    According to President Muhammadu Buhari, the fight against drugs must be conducted with all hands on deck in order to effectively combat the menace of drug abusers. A National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) launch in honour of the United Nations International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (UNIDAD) in 2021 was attended by President Barack Obama, who spoke at the event.

    Buhari has directed the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) to step up efforts to rid the country of criminal elements.
