The PDP has slammed President Muhammadu Buhari’s plan to send Nigerian resources to London for the Global Education Summit on Financing Global Partnership for Education 2021-2025, although the meeting is supposed to be virtual.

“Trying to disguise his private appointment with his physicians beneath the virtual meeting,” the PDP charged.

The opposition party criticized Buhari for traveling to London for a virtual meeting in a statement published by its National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan.

This is because the conference is virtual, and President Buhari could have done his medical check-up at home if his administration hadn’t ruined our healthcare system.

“Mr. President’s conduct has reinforced the majority of Nigerians’ view that he is wasteful, only cares about himself and ignores millions of our countrymen who are dying everyday because the Buhari government has destroyed our health sector.”

Hundreds of students, who should benefit from the meeting, are languishing in kidnappers’ dens, with the Buhari administration taking no real efforts to rescue them and halt the ongoing kidnapping of students in Nigeria, the party claimed.

To save the country from misrule, the PDP urged Nigerians not to “resign to pessimism in the face of such inept, selfish and insensitive” Buhari-led APC administration.

To meet his physicians and attend the Global Education Summit on Finance Global Partnership for Education 2021-2025, Buhari departed Abuja on Monday.

On Monday, the President’s communications advisor, Femi Adesina, said, “President Buhari attends global education summit in London.”
