Femi Fani-Kayode has stated that he is a proud member of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, and that he has no regrets about his decision.

Fani-Kayode had abandoned the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party a few months ago and switched to the APC, a party he had criticized throughout its existence.

Fani-Kayode was one of the public people who took it upon themselves to criticize President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration and the All Progressives Congress (APC) at every turn.

Following his defection to the ruling party, the anti-graft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, purportedly arrested him, prompting widespread mockery from Nigerians, with some labeling him a traitor.
